Exhibition in Berlin, “DIE WUSTE SCHWEIGT NICHT”
After Paris, the second station of the world touring gallery of Libyan antiquities and arts was Berlin, the new and historical capital of the Federal Republic of Germany.
On May 15, 2002, His Excellency Saif Al Islam Al Qadhafi, President of the Gaddafi International Foundation for Charitable Associations and Dr. Klaus Koehler, representing the Arab-German Friendship Society, presided over the opening ceremony of “Die wuste schweigt night – The desert is not silent” at Staatsragebaude Hall – Berlin.
Were present at the opening ceremony, highest personalities from the German Foreign Ministry, Managers of several international companies and number of VIPs from all sectors.
“The desert is not silent” stayed in Berlin from 15th May to 30 June 2002, and attracted more than 23 000 visitors.
During the exhibition in Berlin, H.E. Saif Al Islam Al Qadhafi signed on May 16th with Mr. Soscha Graefin zu Eulenburg, vice-President of the German Red Cross, an agreement of cooperation between the Gaddafi International Foundation and the German Red Cross Society.
