Vienna Exhibition, “DIE WUSTE SCHLAFT NICHT”

Vienna, international capital of culture, was the 7th station of the world touring gallery “The desert is not silent”.
On October 6th, 2004, His Excellency JORG HAIDER, President of the Libyan-Austrian Society and His Excellency SAIF AL ISLAM AL QADHAFI, President of the Gaddafi International Foundation for Charitable Associations, presided over the opening ceremony of “DIE WUSTE SCHLAFT NICHT”– The desert is not silent” at Palais Auersperg. Austrian Federal Chancelor, Wolfgang Schüssel had official apologized for his absence.

More than 350 invitees attended the opening ceremony, including several Austrian highest personalities from all sectors. Been well known in Vienna, H.E. Saif Al Islam was the main attraction of this exhibition, which attracted more than 41 500 visitors.
