Milan Exhibition, « IL DESERTO NON E SILENTE »
Italia is the only country that has received « The desert is not silent » in two cities. After the exhibition the enormous success of the exhibition in Rome, the world touring gallery of Libyan antiquities and arts went to Milan, capital city of the Italian region of Lombardi.
On December 2nd, 2003, His Excellency Saif Al Islam Al Qadhafi, President of the Gaddafi International Foundation for Charitable Associations and His Excellency Roberto Formigoni, President of the Lombardi region, presided over the opening ceremony of the exhibition at the Palazzo della Ragione - via Mercanti in Milan.
This ceremony was attended by several VIP including managers of international companies partners of the exhibition. “The desert is not silent” stayed in Milan from 2nd December 2003 to 6th January 2004. It was a very popular event of the end of the year with more than 31 000 visitors. News papers have published several articles appreciating “The desert is not silent”
